Nikki noticed that she had been financially supporting Justin for years.
Justin and Nikki’s relationship suddenly ended on Sunday’s episode of 90 Days of fiance after he coldly interrupted her by texting her. Nikki was visibly broken and noticed that she had also supported him financially for years.
This 90-day fiance season followed Nikki, 47, who traveled to Moldova to visit her 36-year-old fiance Justin. The two were together almost two decades earlier, but broke up, also because Nikki told Justin only two years after they started dating that she was transgender. They decided to give their love another chance and got engaged again. However, in Moldova, they quarreled several times, including about the fact that Justin was not venereally attracted to Nikki.
On Sunday’s episode, two weeks after returning to New York from Moldova, Nikki broke down and cried in front of a producer when she received a text message from Justin during filming. Although she had the opportunity to go home because she was emotionally distraught, she wanted to tell her side of the story. Nikki said she and Justin had an argument a week ago and it was because he didn’t have a job and Nikki said she had been supporting him financially the whole time. She lost her temper and told him that she was using it. After not speaking for a week, Justin texted her and told her he wanted to end the relationship.
“I compromised and sacrificed my own interests and surprised my parents and everyone around me, including my status and dignity,” the text reads. “However, it is no longer possible for me to continue like this. I realized that I needed to take control of my life and correct the situation. May you find a way to a worthy life filled with love and mutual attachment. Goodbye, and I wish you all the best.”
Nikki was stunned, considering that she invested years and a lot of money in the relationship.
“I’m just so far from breaking up right now,” she said. “I didn’t expect this to happen because I was planning my future with him. And I don’t know how I’m going to get over it.”
“The way I felt with that text message is the worst feeling ever,” she continued.
Nikki said she apologized to Justin and asked him to give him a second chance, but he just ignored her. after, Nikki was still distraught when her mother Myrna came to visit her. Nikki said Justin now acted like she never existed, but she still hasn’t canceled Justin’s K-1 visa application because sometimes people change their minds.
“But I don’t think he was in love with me,” Nikki told her mother.
Nevertheless, she insisted that their action was not enough to break up, because they had so much at stake and invested so much.
“You’re not just throwing away all those years, 17 years, the whole story we had together, the comfort,” she said. “He threw everything away as if it meant nothing. … I really hope that he has changed his mind.”
“I just can’t hate anyone,” she also told the cameras. “I was really in love with him. It’s going to be hard for me to get over it. I don’t think I could ever let anyone into my heart the way he did. I can’t start from scratch.”
